To this end, Girlguiding UK is building up to the Centenary with an enormous challenge to all units to ’CHANGE THE WORLD’.
Girlguiding UK has linked up with 19 organisations in an attempt to raise the awareness of our members to issues of global importance.
Members have, since September 2008 been raising money; taking action, raising awareness for a range of organisations dealing with such causes as protection of animals; recycling; saving energy, asthma research; homelessness etc.
Girls have chosen their project from a huge list and carried out challenges while helping their chosen cause.
This has been our launch pad for the Centenary and to date over £60,000 has been raised nationally with over 30,000 members taking part and Girlguiding Herefordshire members have been very active locally– send us your stories & we will feature them here!

Cetenary
In 2009/2010 Girlguiding UK celebrates its Centenary—a time for parties, adventures and above all FUN!
However, the Centenary must also have a focus and a meaning.
