All of the units in the Leominster District met at Leominster Junior School to take part in Vision. Past guiders, helpers and the Mayor and Mayoress of Leominster, Mr, & Mrs. Roger Hunt attended.
All the units had displays and activities arranged around the room. Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers were able to take part in any of these activities, but all took part in their allocated percussion workshop led by Pedro Brown.
The girls had previously written their ideas/visions for what they wanted from girl guiding on a cutout hand shape. At the event, the girls placed their hand on a tree and collected a cup cake. It can be seen from the photograph that the cup cakes had been arranged in the shape of the trefoil and included 100 in the design.
Whilst eating the cakes and enjoying a drink the girls assembled around a camp fire, also indicating that 100 years was being celebrated, also indicated in the photograph. The singing circle completed, the girls watched the message on the video and then paraded outside to renew their Promise and sing the National Anthem.
The girls, leaders and guests had been arranged in a shape of a horseshoe, and as the flag was raised at the end of the National Anthem, a short firework display took place alongside the beacon which had been lit on Eaton Hill.
Everyone then returned inside and having been dismissed were given the Vision Badge, which everyone was very pleased to receive, especially as it had been designed by one of the Leominster Guiders.
