Events for 2011

All units will be joining together for a District Thinking Day Event planned this year by Hannah Fishbourne a Guide Guider as part of her Queen’s Guide programme. The theme is ‘to Empower girls to Speak Out’, learning thr’ activities and self defence (Tai Chi)

Each year Kingstone Guides attend and help with refreshments at the Violet Szarbo Museum at Wormelow on Tump Lane. They designed a badge to commerorate the museum’s 10th anniversary and our 100th last year. (I will find out the date for 2011).

Guides attend a camp and this year Sue Round Guide Guider has decided to take the girls away and gain her Camper’s Licence.

Brownies usually all get together at ‘Brownie Revels’ in the summer. Individual Brownie units go away on Pack Holidays, although the district went to PGL last year and some units may return this summer taking advantage of the 10% discount.

Rainbows are planning a trip to Bristol to ‘Build a Bear’ and will probably attend the County Rainbow Day which is in planning stages.
